How can we improve TSheets?

TSheets Messaging System

Use a messaging system inside of TSheets to send customizable emails and text messages to employees. Or have them appear as a notification when they log in from a computer or mobile app.

Please hustle on this request. It was a great value of using the TimeForge software for my previous business. Everyone was working in one app.

This would be fantastic for our business (aviation). We regularly send out operations notices etc to all staff or sometimes targeted to specific departments. Being able to select who sees the message, and that they acknowledge it (with a record of the acknowledgement) would be an extremely valuable tool.

This was put on the board in 2012, little disappointing nothing has been done about it in 7 years.

Our interest is in badgering people to do "submit time". So we'd like to see something added to the Approval Preferences add-on to support that. Basically if someone's time is already submitted for the last period, don't bother them. If it's not, then message them (SMS specifically is what we're looking for) telling them they need to submit their time for dates m/dd to m/dd.

We use Podio / Globiflow / ClickSend integration to text employees with issues, questions, PIN numbers, passwords, etc. This way we can collect individual responses. At the very least I think the system should be able to send PIN numbers to employee phone numbers on file.

I would like to see a tool that would allow me to send an email to a group or "all employees" in the dashboard. I could convey updated information, news about a project, changes in the way we are entering information as a group, etc

As a federal contractor we have many (most) employees who work full time at government sites. I rarely see them. I could really use this feature to help us comply with the many mandatory training requirements we have to perform each year.

being able to send individual and group messages would be a huge benefit. We are actually looking at other software options because they offer it.

we most certainly need the ability to either send additional information, be it either, by message or as an attachment for each job, much appreciated if it was available soon.

A feature similar to FB messenger that allows you to message and view who is currently active, this would be a great feature as sometimes staff are off site and using Microsoft outlook is sometimes a bit too formal for a quick message.

Being able to have employees acknowledge that they have received scheduling assignments and updates would be huge. We are still having employees send a separate text to confirm. Being able to hold them accountable in the same app without having to match up texts with schedules would be a valuable option.

This would be a fantastic option. It was one of the first features I looked for when we started using TSheets. Was disappointed when I realized it wasn't a feature!!!!

You have 44 comments regarding this feature. The first one dated July of 2012. That is five years ago and you are still having requests for this feature. I would think that that was enough time to develop it. We used that feature frequently when we had the Time Clock Manager program and sorely miss it now that we are using TSheets.
