Task or Project Based Overtime Alerts
It would be great to be able to have alerts based upon a specific task or project, not just total hours for the day.

We have monthly contracts with clients based on a specified amount of hours per month. It would be nice to know if we are getting close to going over our located hours prior to gathering the hours worked at the end of the month in order to get approval for additional hours. We either have to have that awkward conversation with our clients or we end up absorbing the cost ourselves. Being alerted of hours worked per a specific job/client would be so beneficial. Being able to set up the alert based on our billing cycle would even be better. Please see Tara's example below. It would need to be inclusive of all employees working on the specified project and broken down by the task being performed.
Yes, we desperately need OT to be reported per Project / Client / Customer etc. however we choose to sort it.
I agree. We manage support/service contracts. We invoice for hours that exceed the contracted amount.
For example: Customer x purchases 20 hours of support.
5 hours/month are dedicated to task A
5 hours/month are dedicated to task B
I would like an overtime alert be triggered when support for A, B, C... each near or exceed 5 hours.
It would also be nice to have an "available balance" by customer at clock in. This will allow support technicians to know how many hours remain under the agreement so they know what time can be allocated to resolving an issue and then alert the client.

Agreed. Tracking OT per project is perfect for the way we handle OT
