Automatic Holiday time entry
It would be nice to be able to set up holiday times and have them prepopulate time sheets. for example - for major holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, to have the option to have 8 hours of holiday time prepopulate or pre-entered into the time sheet for employees so that they do not have to go in and manually enter it either before the holiday or after the holiday.
I am wondering how these plans are progressing. I am very interested to see this implemented. Bank Holidays/Public Holidays population should be standard for timesheets to reduce entry errors and leave accrual errors. An update would be appreciated

It is surprising that you don't already include this.

Good Idea. In doing so though please remember holiday pay is not counted toward overtime.
Great idea. Your competitors do this very well for not that much more $$! They also have more options for vacation accrual methods, etc.
Yes! Yes! Yes! I love this idea. Not only would it save employees time because the hours would default in but it would also remind employees what the company holidays are so that they can plan their floating holidays.
Please allow us to edit the defaulted in hours in case that the employee had to work on the holiday.
My team works various hrs, and the labour law is that on stat holidays you get paid an average of the previous 9 wks shifts for that day. So for example if the stat is monday you normally work 6 hrs on mondays, and the average of the last 9 worked monday shifts was 6 hrs, then that stat you get 6hrs of pay. Would be great to at least be able to pull this info.
This would certainly save us a lot of time as it would avoid us making manual corrections while ensuring that we have accurate data. A pre-propulated calendar considering holidays in different countries would be necessary. I would agree that from one company to another, the number of hours for statutory holidays could vary based on the lenght of their regular work shift or business practices. Therefore, the need to have this customized becomes essential.
It would be nice to have a user interface, maybe a calendar view would be easiest. That a manager could go and define what days are company holidays and also how many hours of holiday should be used for the day (some companies might have half days for some holidays, e.g., half day for Christmas Eve, and full day for Christmas).
