  1. PTO approval/workflow, employee can request time off and manager can approve it (from all endpoints, show PTO on schedule, etc.)

    Allow employees to submit PTO requests that go to a manager for approval. Currently, they submit PTO and automatically gets added to their time sheet and managers must delete from their time sheets before approving if not an approved request.

  2. 1:1 PTO tracking after 40 hr/wk

    1:1 PTO automatic accrual tracking after 40hrs/wk, this would allow for the tracking of potential comp time for salaried employees.

  3. PTO usage by employee report

    We ABSOLUTELY need a way to print a report outlining ALL PTO used during an employee's year so we can track usage if there is a conflict

  4. Flexi Time - Accrue PTO after certain number of hours

    Flexi time means a soft start and finish time, but it also allows an employee to earn PTO as a day off. It would be good to accrue PTO hours 1:1 after the set required daily hours have been reached

  5. Ability to set Vacation accrual rates by hire date/years worked

    It would be nice if PTO accrual was auto-tracked by hire date. Meaning if an employee is employed from 0-3 years, 5-7 yrs, 7-10 years etc; he/she will earn different accrual rates by years of service. Right now, we need to manually track when an employee should earn increased accrual; however if the system tracked it automatically--this would save business owners and managers a lot of time.

  6. Calculation for PTO based on hours worked needs to exclude other types of PTO

    Currently if your PTO accrual is set to "based on Hours worked" the calculation includes worked hours and other PTO hours. It should only use true "worked hours".

    For example: We have to accrue 1 hour of sick for every 30 hours "worked". Employees also have vacation time. If an employee takes 8 hours of vacation and only works 32 hours for the week the Sick Time is calculated using 40 hrs for the week when it should only be calculated on the 32 hours of actual work time.

  7. Add a calendar view for employee PTO; have it sync with outlook, etc.

    It would be nice to glance at a calendar and see employee attendance/absences/vacation etc :)

  8. Unpaid Day Off/ Monitoring Attendance- entering hours that do not add to total hours worked

    We would like the ability to track when employees take the day off and it is not paid, or if they call in and do not have any PTO hours. It would be great if this could show hours NOT worked, but not have those hours be added to their total worked hours in reports. Alternatively, maybe there could be an "absence" button or PTO code.

  9. Automatic Holiday time entry

    It would be nice to be able to set up holiday times and have them prepopulate time sheets. for example - for major holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, to have the option to have 8 hours of holiday time prepopulate or pre-entered into the time sheet for employees so that they do not have to go in and manually enter it either before the holiday or after the holiday.

  10. PTO in Days vs Hours

    Ability to have PTO tracked by number of days vs number of hours. For example - Joe gets 10 vacation days. Joe should be able to enter his PTO as one day vs 8 hours.

  11. Separate PTO and NON-PTO

    Allow managers/employees to submit non-PTO that is separately totaled from PTO. Company policy states that we payout PTO for any missed time if the employee has the PTO available, unless they explicitly tell us not to. Right now, we have no easy way to track that.

  12. Max PTO per Year by Hours Work

    Currently, you can't seem to accrual based on hours work, set a max for the year (or by the employees anniversary/hire date), and allow rollover or not.

    While applicable in other States, in Oregon you employers as of Jan 1st 2016 have new sick leave rules.

    Grant 1 hour of PTO for every 30 hours worked (or 1.3 hours for every 40 hours worked) with a max of 40 hours per year, calculated from date of hire.
    Other notes:

    Generally, an employer now has to let an employee carry over accrued, unused sick time from one year to the next.…

  13. PTO Settings and Balances imported from Quickbooks

    Payment of payroll does not occur until 3 weeks after payroll period. This means that the PTO accrual in TSheets is off from that in Quickbooks. Allowing TSheets to be able to pull PTO settings and balances from Quickbooks would be extremely helpful.

  14. Planned PTO notification emails for leave period rather than individual days

    Currently when an employee plans to take annual leave (PTO) an email notification is sent to the Admin and Manager for each day planned (in hours) instead of a single email for the full period. E.g. if the employee plans to take two weeks vacation the manager receives ten separate emails advising of the employee's planned PTO for each work day. It would be nice to have a single email received advising of the first and last planned day's leave.

    Of course, I also back the suggestion for an optional approval process to be applied for select employees, in addition…

  15. Ability to set PTO accrual amounts per pay period

    My employees are paid 24 times a year but on the 8th and 23rd. Due to the Gusto integration, my PTO is accruing 26 pay days rather than 24 in Tsheets. It would be nice if there was an option for custom semi-monthly pay days to accrue correctly at 24 times a year. Due to this error, I have to manual enter Vacation accruals every pay period. This defeats the purpose of a system to track accruals

  16. Enable a minimum time period for PTO

    We sometimes have employees who will work 7 hours and then try to add an hour of PTO to square up their day. We require that PTO be taken in minimum 4 hour increments, so that they really use it if they are sick, or for holiday pay, or for vacation (we have one accrued PTO that they can use for sick, holiday or vacation time). I still want employees to be enter their own PTO but I need to require that they enter it in some minimal increment (in our case, 4 hours)

  17. Color Code PTO/Sick

    It would be great to have a different color for PTO/sick when viewing the Approvals Report. Currently the only way to track is to look at each individual with PTO used or to drill down in the Project Report.

  18. Track unpaid leave like we do PTO

    Employees can take FMLA leave in increments, it would be great to be able to track this like we do Paid Time Off (and not confuse them by calling it "Paid Time Off" or
    I really like how TO is flagged in the reports

  19. Ability to carryover a certain amount of PTO

    Having PTO accrual as an option is ok, but adding the ability to carry over a certain amount would be better. Now I have to manually adjust each employee as of their anniversary date. Quite a pain.

  20. Allow for adding to banked time on time sheet instead of a manual entry

    Our employees bank time periodically and the only way to account for that is with a manual entry by the administrator. Allow employees to enter banked time as a negative in their timesheet which would add to the balance of their banked time.
